Reformation Hope Expands Gospel Ministry to Jacmel!
One of the most well-known and historic coastal cities in Haiti is now part of Reformation Hope's church network. In July, a team led by Pastors Jean and Charlot traveled the winding road from La Plaine to Jacmel and proclaimed the Gospel of Christ to the people of Jacmel in a series of evangelistic services. Jean reports that 73 persons professed faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior during these services. Just as exciting is the news that God has knit together the hearts of some 200 people in Jacmel who desire a new church be established there under Souls Winning/Reformation Hope Haiti's discipleship. Jean and his team have commissioned Charlot to relocate to Jacmel and guide the planting of this new church work. For the next few weeks this new congregation will meet in a large home and surrounding land loaned them by a local family. But very soon, we will need to have project funds available to assist Charlot and his family to find permanent housing and to begin acquiring materials for a temporary place of worship for this newest addition to this Reformation Hope family.

cornHarvest of Hope to Begin Planting Corn this Month
Pastor Paul reports that the farm team have acquired their first seed, thanks to many vacation Bible school children here in the states, and they intend to begin planting their first crop this month! The development plan calls for the first crops to be planted in the furthest back corner of the farmland in order to make it easier to protect the plants from grazing animals until enough funds are raised to complete the wire fencing and convert one of their shipping containers into a shed and sleeping area for on-site security.

Medical Clinic Update
We reported last time that the land for the new medical clinic for La Plaine/Marin had been purchased and deeded to our Haitian Reformation Hope. The next phase involves the construction of a concrete block wall along the two sides of the property that do not adjoin existing neighbors' walls. Pastor Paul and his team are completing the construction planning of the clinic wall and we hope to begin construction by the beginning of September. Meanwhile, a team of doctors and medical technologists here in the U.S. is forming and commencing the work of planning for the actual clinic building and for operational requirements. We look forward to the opening of this new clinic for the ministry it will have to the wider community and for the opportunities it will create for Haitians to enter the health field as a career.

A Special Thank You to the Children of Trinity Presbyterian Church of Union, Missouri
Trinity Presbyterian Church of Union, MissouriReformation Hope was delighted to find out the focus of Trinity Presbyterian Church's vacation Bible school this summer was going to be our Harvest of Hope agriculture project. The children of Trinity raised some $534 during their VBS week in July! What a testimony to all of us in the way that God works through the hearts and hands of His covenant children to help others in need. Thanks to all the children, and all our brothers and sisters in Christ at Trinity Presbyterian for your generosity and compassion for the people of Haiti!

Giving Opportunities
God has been so very gracious to us at RHI this year. But like most ministries we have had a difficult summer in terms of regular giving versus rising ministry demands. We would appreciate your help this month in helping us replenish our resources for what promises to be a very busy fall of ministry. Our Harvest of Hope project, micro-finance project, and our new initiative in Jacmel will require a great deal more resources to complete. We know God already has this taken care of, but we also know that He takes care of these needs through you--our partners and friends.
