Results of the Save Our Orphanage Campaign

We give many thanks to God for His abundant provision and for all of you as our partners in this mission, as the Lord displayed His joyful love for His children at the La Plaine orphanage by exceeding the needed goal of $275,000! Thanks to many of you and other churches, foundations, and individuals all across this land, the orphans get to keep their home, the 1,500 member La Plaine congregation get to keep their sanctuary, and the entire community continues to benefit from the lighthouse which is Souls Winning Ministries, operating from that compound!

The much-anticipated title closing for the original compound took place on Saturday morning, February 1st, and featured both the former Justice Minister of Haiti (Jean Paul and Souls Winning's attorney) and the current Justice Minister of Haiti (who served as a witness signer for the sellers).

On Sunday, February 2nd, a day of celebration, singing, and rejoicing was declared by Pastor Paul, and a great service of worship in praise of God was held. At the same time, one of Reformation Hope's founding churches, Hope Presbyterian Church in Marietta, Georgia, also held a joyous service of thanksgiving to God for His provision and His vindication of the orphans and the church over the recent troubles and afflictions. The Lord our God, the King of Israel, showed Himself yet again as the mighty one who saves—who is present in our midst—who has cleared away our enemies!

Progress of Medical Clinic

We report to you with added joy that the medical clinic is nearing the final stage of its construction. The company supplying the solar power array for the clinic is shipping the components to Samaritan's Purse, where David Bucklin, their electrical engineer and our project partner, will pre-assemble much of the system and prepare it for shipping to Haiti. The solar power array will travel by ship to Haiti in conjunction with many other pieces of equipment and supplies needed in order to open the clinic and graciously provided through the Samaritan's Purse medical ministry. There is also a used ambulance currently being prepared to send to the clinic as well. It is our plan to be able to announce the opening of the clinic in the May/June timeframe. We will keep you posted as the opening day draws near.

Hope for Haiti Book

Our new Hope for Haiti book, released through Amazon in December, has been selling well and is still available. We encourage anyone interested in possible mission trips to Haiti, or anyone considering making an extended commitment to Haiti ministry to order a copy and get a first-hand, ground-level exposure to mission in Haiti.

Sing aloud, O daughter of Zion; shout, O Israel! Rejoice and exult with all your heart, O daughter of Jerusalem! The Lord has taken away the judgments against you; he has cleared away your enemies. The King of Israel, the Lord, is in your midst; you shall never again fear evil. On that day it shall be said to Jerusalem: "Fear not, O Zion; let not your hands grow weak. The Lord your God is in your midst, a mighty one who will save; he will rejoice over you with gladness; he will quiet you by his love; he will exult over you with loud singing. (Zephaniah 3:14 - 17)
