We also thank each and every one of you for your faithfulness in praying and in giving to this missional ministry to the people of Haiti and the Dominican Republic. On behalf of our board of directors, Pastor Jean Paul, and all of our brothers and sisters in Haiti and the Dominican Republic, please accept our joyful thanks!

Make Our New Orphanage Project Part of Your Year-End Giving

Fundraising and pre-construction preparations continue going forward as we approach the end of this year. All of the necessary concrete blocks have already been produced by our micro-financed block-making business in La Plaine. The project contractor has been selected and the architect is nearly finished with the building plans. By the grace and provision of God we are now approximately 20% of our total funding goal for the new orphanage. Our grand opening for the new facility remains scheduled for September 1, 2015.

As you consider your year-end charitable giving, we encourage you to become a part of this new home for our Haitian children. Every donation of $50 or more will be added to a list of supporters displayed in the hallway of the new orphanage for the children to see on a daily basis, that they may know how the Lord has used so many compassionate people in supporting them in the love of Christ. Get updates about the project and how to donate here.

The Redeeming Human Impact of Our New Medical Clinic (a true testimony)

A few months ago our medical clinic director Fabienne Goutier heard of a young lady who had been suffering with a seizure disorder for fifteen years. She and her family live in Jeremie, a large town in the southwestern region of Haiti. This young lady had been wounded multiple times from falls, and burns and near drowning due to her uncontrollable seizures. Her family and caregivers had taken her to see many doctors and never found a treatment. Earlier this year a doctor came to her town and wrote for her a prescription of Carbamazepine but her family could not find it anywhere in Jeremie or the capital, Port-au-Prince. Her mother had all but given hope until she heard of a new clinic that just opened in La Plaine. Her mother sent a relative with the crumpled paper that had the name of the medication and asked if our clinic director had heard of it.

By God's grace our medical clinic pharmacy indeed had this medicine in stock and to make a long story short, she has been taking the medication for the last four months and has not had a single seizure! Her family is so thankful. Recently her mother cried tears of joy, saying that she is finally getting to know her daughter.

Your support of our new medical clinic in La Plaine/Marin, Haiti is daily making impacts like this in the lives of men, women, children, and entire families, not only within the local community, but also, as in the above example, reaching out hundreds of miles away. Please continue to pray and to invest in this important ministry of mercy in Christ to those most in need of life-changing and life-saving medical care.

She will bear a son, and you shall call his name Jesus, for he will save his people from their sins." All this took place to fulfill what the Lord had spoken by the prophet: "Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and they shall call his name Immanuel" (which means, God with us).
