The pastors, elders, and deacons of Souls Winning Ministries have been meeting this week in Marin, at the main church, to plan for the 10th annual Reformation Sunday observance and 10th anniversary of the rebuilding after the devastating 2010 earthquake. You may remember that God saved all of the orphans and staff on the day of the earthquake through their meal being late and everyone going outside the buildings to play until the food was ready. Thanks to many of you and several churches and organizations (MTW, Samaritan’s Purse) we were able to rebuild the school, construct a new church sanctuary and office, drill a deep drinking water well, and add other facilities to the original compound. Every year since the first rededication service in 2010 we have held a big celebration. Despite all of the horrors this year has brought and even the current challenges facing our Haitian brothers and sisters, on Sunday, October 25 the church in Marin and the network of area churches will celebrate this tremendous anniversary as a thanksgiving to God and as a renewal of Hope amidst trial and tragedy. Due to the dangers at present with traveling around the nation of Haiti, our church in Jacmel, pastored by Maxito Raphael, will be holding their own Reformation Sunday celebration at the same time. Please pray for our Haitian brothers and sisters and for the encouragement that this event may bring into their lives. And if you would like to help them with the costs of this big event, you can also make a designated gift through our giving link at PayPal or Easy Tithe.
